What is Coaching

Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.

Our approach to coaching is to help you shine the light on new possibilities and take AIM at your success. Those who feel they are always on top of things will benefit from taking time to reflect and those who feel they are always behind will benefit from identifying priorities. No matter who you are, you will benefit from the opportunity to: decide what you want, realize the importance and impact it will have on your life and then consciously choose your actions.

We'll design a coaching relationship that is unique to your needs. We believe that you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole and sometimes just need help to look outside the usual places for insights. Through regular, targeted coaching sessions, we'll design strategies to keep you motivated in the forward action and being of your life.

Living your desires is not always the easiest route, but it is the most fulfilling. Coaching creates a relationship that helps you go where you may be too vulnerable to go on your own. You'll have the opportunity to take action towards your desires and be fully present in the experience of your life.

What happens during a coaching relationship:

  1. Initial Contact

    • Set up a discovery session
    • Complete client information form
  2. Discovery Session to: (likely 1.5 – 2 hours of time)

    • Identify your goals, objectives, personal development areas for coaching
    • Design our alliance (how we will work together)
    • Complete the "Wheel of Life" activity (and perhaps one or two other activities) to identify other areas for coaching
    • Plan the logistics of our sessions (how often we will meet, when, etc.)
  3. Coaching Sessions

    • Based on our decided times/intervals
    • Usually 1.5 – 2 hours per month
    • In person or over the phone
  4. Live a more fulfilling, fun and exciting life!!

Time Commitment: We suggest you make a commitment of three months to start as it can take this much time (or more) to start to change behaviours and gain the benefits of coaching.
